The New Jersey accounting firm Ennis Hargadon has merged with MSPC Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, P.C. effective January 1, 2018. The addition of two principals brings MSPC’s partner count to 11 and the firm’s total staff to 67. The firm is based in Cliffside Park, New Jersey.
Driving the merger was both organizations’ extensive knowledge and experience with Employee Benefit Plans and Labor Unions. Patrick Trombetta, who serves on the Firm’s Executive Committee, will continue to lead the segment that currently works with over 100 Employee Benefit Funds and 40 Labor Unions. The expanded department provides auditing, government filing compliance and consulting services to plan sponsors, trustees and administrators of both single and multi-employer benefit plans.
“This was a natural fit for us as Ennis’ employee benefit plan expertise complements our existing practice and broadens our reach in serving labor unions and those who administer their plans,” said Jim Flannery, Managing Principal of MSPC.
Bill Ennis noted, “We are excited to join the MSPC team. This merger provides us with additional resources and a team of professionals who understand the unique requirements of working with labor unions and third-party plan administrators.”
The Cliffside Park office will remain open in addition to MSPC’s Cranford and Manhattan locations.
