Still in Beta, but about to be released in June, Fetch is a new expense reporting tool for small businesses from the makers of Shoeboxed created for mobile devices. The product has been designed to make expense submission and employee reimbursement quick and painless.

To begin using Fetch, admins need to invite team members to use the product. The original admin can then assign additional admins to be used as approvers when expenses are submitted. To begin using Fetch, users just need to snap a photo of a receipt on their smart phone. Once the image is created, users are prompted to select a category for the expense. Available categories include Insurance, Maintenance, Meals, Merchant Fees, Rent, Suppliers, Travel, Utilities, and Web & Internet. Users simply choose the correct category, with an option to add a note to the receipt as well. Once this is complete, a summary will be displayed that shows the receipt total, date, project, and any notes created. Users then need only hit the submit button, where a summary of previously submitted receipt totals will be displayed along with the total dollars that have been reimbursed to date.

Admins have access to a submitted expense summary screen, with a list of all users and their currently submitted expenses. Every time an employee submits an expense, it is added to the total, with an icon displaying what the expense is for, based on the category the user chose when submitting. Admins can drill down on each employee file to display the entire list of submitted expenses. Admins can request additional information on any expense by highlighting that expense, and then clicking on the Request Info button. When all expenses are approved, users can click on the button to the right to pay the expenses. Admins also have the option to set up a company bank account, so payment is completed in real time once the payment option has been chosen.

Admins can easily setup custom approval flows within Fetch. The product also allows admins to create reports that detail all expenses submitted as well as their respective categories, so management can see where their largest expenses are.

Fetch offers a free 14-day trial. After the trial, users will be charged $9.95 per person/per month. A free version of Fetch is available for solo users that are not currently connected to a team.
